Port Crane

GlobalSim, a Kongsberg Maritime Company, is a world leader in producing affordable, effective simulation based training to heavy equipment operations. Tasked with providing a world-class port crane simulator to be placed in Morocco for training crane operators, GlobalSim turned to Immersive Display Solutions (IDSI) to provide the visual display portion of the simulator.

Working closely with GlobalSim, Immersive Display selected several key suppliers to design, fabricate and install a 30-piece hard shell fiberglass dome, 12-channels Digital Projection Titan 700 3DLP projectors, a truss structure for the support of both the dome and the projectors, a projection layout design that projected around all known movement patterns of the motion-base mounted cab without shadow, and the Scalable Display EasyBlendFX camera-based automated warp and blend solution.
