of the MITRE Aviation IDEA Laboratory at the Center for Advanced Aviation System Development (CAASD). A portion of the overall project involved updating the visual displays of several large fixedposition Boeing 777 cockpits to provide out the window visuals for the pilot and co-pilot.

To meet its needs AVC chose Immersive Display Solutions to provide the integrated visual display, which included a portable 18-ft (diam) 180° horizontal x 40° vertical field-of-view collapsible fabric display, Digital Projection dVision30 WUXGA projectors, customized projector mounts with mirrors, and Scalable Display EasyBlendFX geometry warp and edge blend calibration software.

Product News \WQXGA and M-Vision 230 Projectors

IDSI integrates professional grade projectors that combine high image quality with low cost of ownership. We are excited to announce the addition of two new projectors to our product line, the MVision 230 and the dVision 35 WQXGA, which fit those criteria and offer digital stability and dependability through the powerful imaging fidelity and reliability of Texas Instrument’s DLP technology.

Digital Projection M-Vision 230 1080p

The M-Vision 230 offers an economical platform in true HD 1080p resolution to meet most needs in a multi-channel dome display. Compact, quiet, and lightweight, it fits well into the dome envelope and will offer remarkable contrast and color saturation for its price point. Equipped with a simulation specific RGBRGB color wheel.

Digital Projection dVision 35 WQXGA

The division 35 WQXGA pushes the limit of resolution by offering the highest resolution available, 2560×1600 (WQXGA) in a compact chassis. IDSI demonstrated 3-channels of the DPI dVision 35 on the JTAC MiniDome 3-meter immersive system at this year’s I/ITSEC Conference (see article).

No other projector can provide this resolution in this small form factor. Also, due to its compact size, more pixels can be displayed on the dome screen to meet high resolution requirements while using less projector and IG channels to obtain that resolution. An extremely flexible projector, it offers motorized dimming and other features for time of day control, dual lamp redundancy in a compact, lightweight, reliable chassis that will help you perform your training tasks day in and day out.
